The global COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed our lifestyle, adding extra workloads to those in the medical field. We would like to express our sincere respect to all the medical professionals who are working hard in the frontline every day.
Founded in 1999, the Japanese Society of Digital Pathology is a research society consisting of pathologists, clinical laboratory technicians, and vendors of optical equipment, communications and information systems. Our current focus is to study various applications of digital pathology, mainly WSI (Whole Slide Imaging) system which can convert pathological glass slides into high-resolution digital images.
The 19th meeting of the Japanese Society of Digital Pathology was scheduled to be held at Nagasaki University in August 2020. After it was postponed, we have been looking for an opportunity to meet with you and have a passionate discussion. However, as many countries around the world continue to struggle to contain the spread of the new coronavirus, we have come to a decision to hold the meeting online.
With continued collaboration with the Digital Pathology Association (DPA, USA) and a new collaboration with the European Society for Digital and Integrative Pathology (ESDIP, Europe), English sessions and up-to-date information will be provided. The poster session will be held using SlideShare to ensure better understanding.
We will do our best to make this a fruitful conference, and we look forward to your participation and submission of abstracts. We would like to extend our best wishes for your good health.
Corporate exhibits and SlideShare presentations can be viewed at any time during the event. The comment function is available at the bottom of each presentation. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact the presenter.
